Blanchland is a village in Northumberland, England, on the County Durham boundary. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 135. Set beside the river in a wooded section of the Derwent valley, Blanchland is an attractive small village in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. WebBlanchland Village Playground is lovely and definitely worth a visit. It is located behind the village hall overlooking the river. You can see the playground as you walk past either when you join the footpath behind the village hall at the start of the walk or after you rejoin the road after passing through the woods at the end of the walk.
