My dr could not give me an explination as to why after 2 lots of antibiotics didn't get rid of the UTI. Now I am a bit worried about the side affects of the bactrim. WebYes, it basically numbs your entire urinary tract, or at least that's been my experience. YMMV of course. And yeah, that's what you need to do. I've actually never had a UTI where they didn't do a culture. It's pretty typical. It does take 24-48 hours to get results, but it pretty much guarantees a cure.
