Worldwide, the poorest children are twice as likely to die in childhood than their wealthier peers. WebThe implications of the Government’s Welfare Reform programme and the roll-out of Universal Credit in East Ayrshire will be significant. There are concerns that the reduction in welfare spending will impact negatively on income inequality, poverty and child poverty and on equality groups, including impacts on women and people with disabilities.
